(Video) How Is That Not A Penalty? Defender Rugby Tackles Opponent In The Box

Watch as this defender somehow gets away with dump tackling his opponent in the box. How was that not a penalty?

English football is known for being that little bit more physical than in many other parts of the world, but by the looks of it it’s turning into a full contact sport.

Bradford defender Rory McArdle somehow got away with this moment of madness during a League One clash with Sheffield United on Saturday. The Bradford man literally picking up and throwing United’s Stefan Scougall to the floor.

Amazingly no penalty was given, and the visitors were left speechless at the decision.

The controversy was lessened somewhat by the fact that Sheffield went on to win the match 2-0, but if this kind of ‘challenge’ is allowed to go unpunished then it is only a matter of time before the game descends into chaos.
