5) Mario Balotelli – Liverpool

The hapless Italian just can’t score a Premier League goal. While his performance was much improved on the shambolic displays he put out against QPR and Real Madrid, he missed an absolute sitter in injury time against Hull. He’s now gone seven top flight matches without finding the back of the net.

4) Branislav Ivanovic – Chelsea

The Serbian foolishly gave away a freekick that earned himself second yellow-card, and Man United a chance to level in injury time, which they duly obliged. Despite his manager’s claims, it was a foul, and Ivanovic will sit out the next match through suspension.

3) Mauricio Pochettino – Tottenham

The young Argentine can’t get his Spurs side playing like he got Southampton to last season. They were stale in attack, and vulnerable in defence, and lost at home to a pretty poor Newcastle outfit.

2) Vito Mannone – Sunderland

Against his former club Arsenal, Mannone completely embarrassed himself by trying to dribble his way out of trouble against an onrushing Alexis Sanchez. The Italian keeper stumbled, and gifted the Arsenal forward a second goal.

1) Yaya Toure – Manchester City

What’s happened to the best midfielder in the Premier League last season? Toure was terrible for City as they lost to West Ham. He was defensively a liability, and offered nothing creatively either. Perhaps he’s still reeling from birthday cake-gate.
