Looking at the depth of young talent in world football right now, we could be set to enter a golden age of the sport, with this XI of exciting teenage talent the best that we can put together and looking pretty tasty:

GK) Simone Scuffet (Udinese and Italy)

Already a first choice goalkeeper for Udinese in Serie A and the natural successor to Gianluigi Buffon, Simone Scuffet has a huge future ahead of him.

RB) Tin Jedvaj (AS Roma and Croatia)

Jedvaj is spending this season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen from AS Roma and already has two Bundesliga goals to his name.

CB) Doria (Olympique Marseille and Brazil)

Powerful Brazilian youth international made the move to Europe and Marseille this summer – big things are expected of the 19 year-old.

CB) Calum Chambers (Arsenal and England)

Chambers’ displays at the heart of the Arsenal team this season have belied his tender years. Currently used largely at right back, but his future probably lies in the centre.

LB) Luke Shaw (Manchester United and England)

It is incredible to think that Shaw is still a teenager considering his level of Premier League experience and the fee that United spent on him this summer.

CM) Adrien Rabiot (Paris Saint Germain and France)

The Arsenal target recently signed a new deal at the Parc des Princes and big things are expected of him in the French capital.

CM) Max Meyer (FC Schalke 04 and Germany)

The latest start off the production line in Germany is talented Schalke playmaker Max Meyer, with a big move on the cards for him in the near future.

ARM) Zakaria Bakkali (PSV Eindhoven and Belgium)

An Eredivisie regular and Belgian international at the age of just 18, winger Zakaria Bakkali has the world at his feet.

ACM) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool and England)

Perhaps the most exciting young player in the world right now, Sterling carries Liverpool at times, his pace is frightening and he is adding more end product all of the time.

ALM) Martin Odegaard (Stromsgodset and Norway)

The fact that he is a full Norwegian international and key player for high flying Stromsgodset at the age of just 15 is an indicator of Odegaard’s huge potential.

SC) Angel Correa (Atletico Madrid and Argentina)

After signing forward Angel Correa from San Lorenzo this summer, Atletico Madrid announced that the teenager needed heart surgery – but he is expected to be back showing his quality in La Liga in the not too distant future.
