The Ivorian was a flop at the Gunners, but has since turned his career around at Roma. He is working with the same manager as he was before his move to North London at the club and this seems to have helped him.

Here are the five nominees…

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Borussia Dortmund

The Gabon forward has nine goals in seventeen appearances in an out of form Dortmund side so far this campaign.

Vincent Enyeama, Lille

The keeper had a great World Cup with Nigeria, and has carried that form in to his club. He had a massive 21 clean sheets last season.

Yacine Brahimi, Granada/Porto

The Algerian’s performances in the World Cup and with Granada earned him a move to Porto in the summer. He has carried on playing well there.

Gervinho, Roma

The Ivorian has been brilliant for Roma since arriving from Arsenal. He may have been a flop in North London, but ten goals in thirty nine games last season show he isn’t in Rome.

Yaya Toure, Manchester City

The key to the Citizens’ midfield, Toure helped his club to the Premier League and League Cup last season.
