Clubs in England’s Premier League spent £211.8m between them on new strikers this summer.

As we are almost halfway into November, it is natural that fans, managers and chairman will be expecting to have seen some sort of return by now.

We have ranked 15 summer signings based on how much each of their league goals have cost so far.

To calculate this, we have simply divided their transfer or loan fee by the number of times they have hit the net this season.

Because the maths is fairly basic, we have not been able to include any free transfers, or players who are yet to score.

So, before you look at the main list (which starts on page two), check out the top-scoring free transfers and the most expensive players who are yet to grab a goal below.
