Radamel Falcao needs to prove his fitness before Manchester United commit to £43m transfer
The striker faces two months that could determine his career at Old Trafford as concerns over his fitness issues grow.
According to the Mirror the Red Devils have delayed making Falcao’s stay permanent until the Colombia international can prove his injury issues are behind him.
The 28-year-old suffered a cruciate ligament injury back in January and is currently out with a calf issue and has only played five times for his new club to date.

Man United closing in on Memphis Depay as PSV Eindhoven confirms the youngster’s sale
It looks as if another Netherlands star could be coming to the Theatre of Dreams as Phillip Cocu confirms Depay will be sold.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the best young talents in European football and impressed many at the 2014 World Cup and is likely to cost around £18m.
“Of course Memphis will be sold, you can’t stop that but it’s okay,” Cocu was quoted by the Metro.

The 13-time Premier League champions are ready to beat Arsenal and Chelsea to the signing of the highly regarded 20-year-old, according to the Mirror.
Laporte has been an established figure in the Bilbao team for some time and due to his age and potential has been made a top target by Louis van Gaal.
Vice-chairman Ed Woodward has now entered negotiations over a deal, although there is a £32m release clause written into the Frenchman’s contract.
Gunners ready to begin talks with £10m rated Chris Smalling
Arsene Wenger is ready to start talks with the England international as the 65-year-old looks to sign defensive recruitment in January, according to the Daily Express.
Smalling has fallen out of favour under van Gaal and the Dutchman is willing to let the 24-year-old leave in January as long as the £10m asking price is met.
Wenger meanwhile views the Englishman as the ideal candidate to provide cover at the back for his team, whether in central defence or at right-back.
