GK) David de Gea (Manchester United)

Manchester United see the imminent signing of former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, 32, as a replacement for David de Gea, not a back-up. If you don’t believe us, check out this report from the Independent, which claims that De Gea is set to join Real Madrid.

RB) Glen Johnson (Liverpool)

The veteran full-back looks unlikely to be offered a new contract at Anfield with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season. He has been drawing attention from abroad as he considers his next move.

LB) Nacho Monreal (Arsenal)

There are surprisingly few Premier League left back’s up for grabs this January, so making up the numbers is this Arsenal reject, who has been forced into action this season due to his manager’s lack of options. An ordinary player to say the least.

CB) Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa)

The Dutch World Cup star has refused to sign a new contract at Villa, and his availability has attracted the interest of Arsenal and Manchester United, who are keen to sign him either in January or next summer.

CB) Winston Reid (West Ham United)

It’s a similar story for West Ham’s New Zealand international, who is edging close to the end of his contract and is subsequently attracting interest from several teams looking for a bargain deal.

CM) Fabian Delph (Aston Villa)

Another free agent to be, the holding midfielder forced his way into the England squad at the start of the season, and several fine performances have caught the attention of Liverpool among others.

CM) Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)

After failing to secure an exit from the Saints this summer, the Frenchman is still on the lookout for a move to one of the Premier League big guns, despite his current side’s excellent start to the season.

RM) Andre Schurrle (Chelsea)

The German World Cup winner has struggled for form at Stamford Bridge so far this season. Chelsea are set to make the 24-year-old forward, who has started just four Premier League games this season, available in January to make way for new signings.

AM) Juan Mata (Manchester United)

Manchester United are willing to offload midfielder Juan Mata, 26, for £20m, with Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Valencia all interested. The former Chelsea man has been reduced to being a bit-part player under Louis van Gaal.

LM) James Milner (Manchester City)

An exceptional, versatile midfielder who is desperate to be established first-team player as he enters the twilight years of his career. With his contract with City set to expire this summer, he could move to make that happen.

ST) Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion)

The talented youngster is the top scoring Englishman in the Premier League so far this season, and his goal scoring touch has attracted the interest of several of the countries biggest clubs as the transfer window looms.
