With the game coming up, The Sun have put together a list of five great moments that have graced the match in the past.

What do you think?

5) Paul Gascoigne’s wonder goal, 1996

The old rivals played each other in the group stage of Euro 1996, and the stage was set for a great match. Gazza’s unforgettable volley after flicking the all over a defender’s head is one of the best goals a player has ever scored in an England shirt.

Wembley crossbar

After Scotland won the fixture for the second game in a row in 1977, the Tartan army invaded the pitch. They ripped up most of the Wembley turf, and famously broke a crossbar after sitting on it.

Ray Clemence lets Kenny Dalglish in

Now part of the backroom staff in the England set up, Ray Clemence was once a top class goalkeeper. However this was one moment he will want to forget, as he let a soft shot from fellow Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish through his legs.

Stewart Kennedy wraps himself around a post

However, England aren’t the only ones to have made goalkeeping howlers. During a 5-1 England win in 1975 Scotland keeper made a fool of himself trying to save a looping header. As the ball lobbed over him he turned, ran and wrapped himself around one of the posts.

League One hero Steve Bull

Its not very often that someone from outside the top division plays for England, but in 1989 Steve Bull managed to get a call up despite playing in Division 3 at the time. This is the equivalent of League One now! To top it off he scored after coming off the bench in a 2-0 win over Scotland.
