Arsenal have been strongly linked to the 32-year-old…

Chelsea’s Petr Cech could be leaving the club in January due to a lack of game time. Since the return of Thibaut Courtois to the club, the Czech has found it hard to get in to the side.

He will not find it hard to find potential suitors, with a top class goalkeeper always in demand. There are several clubs around Europe who may be interested in him, and if he is being let go for the reported £7 million then none of them will be priced out of him.

Here are seven side who should bid for the Champions League winner in January…

Arsenal

Arsenal have already been linked to a move for Cech as they look to improve on their current pair of David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny. The 32-year-old would be better than both of them, but would it be by enough for Arsene Wenger to risk upsetting the current number one Szczesny?

PSG

With Salvatore Sirigu being a good but not great keeper, the French champions are on the lookout for a top class stopper. At £7 million the Chelsea man would be a cheap option.

Liverpool

Simon Mignolet has become one of the poster boys for Brendan Rodgers’ dreadful transfer record at the club. The Northern Irishman would be able to start again with the Chelsea back up.

Real Madrid

Sad as it is to say, Iker Casillas is not the keeper he once was. The Spaniard hasn’t been the same since he was dropped by Jose Mourinho a few years back. Keylor Navas is a brilliant replacement already at the club, but for some reason Los Blancos won’t take a risk with him. So Cech could be an alternative.

Tottenham

Spurs may already have a world class goalie in Hugo Lloris, but how long he will stay at the club is yet to be seen. Chelsea’s transfer listed man would be a fine replacement were the Frenchman to leave White Hart Lane.

Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund may have made a poor start to the season, but are still one of the best teams in Europe on their day. Their current goalkeeper is Roman Weidenfeller, who at 34-years-old isn’t getting any younger. Cech is not only two years his junior, but also a better player.

Napoli

Current keeper Rafael Cabral is another solid if unspectacular choice. If Napoli have real ambition of becoming a regular Champions League side and getting past the group stages, then they will need someone better. That someone could be Cech.
