Alexis Sanchez, The Complete Package and Arsenal’s Best Signing In a Decade

Best addition Arsene Wenger has made to his Emirates Stadium squad in many years.

For all the complaints Arsenal fans will undoubtedly have about their club’s start to the season, and it’s been mostly poor, one only has to imagine how much worse things would look if Arsene Wenger hadn’t managed to get his hands on Chilean Alexis Sanchez.

The marauding forward is arguably, even at this very early stage, Arsenal’s best signing of a decade and a player who is the complete package.

The 26 year old has instantly adapted to life in the Premier League and has shown no lack of heart and a great deal of raw ability that has made him an absolute handful in Arsenal colours.

The free running South American moves through the gears with ease and has the upper body strength to deal with life in the overly physical Premier League.

He has the determination of a player who clearly feels he wasn’t given a fair crack of the whip at the Nou Camp and his tally 11 goals in 16 starts for the north London side only tells half the story.

For all his obvious skill one thing Sanchez also offers is immediacy. The former Barcelona man is far more likely to fire in a swift effort on goal rather than attempting YET another pass in pursuit of the ‘perfect’ goal, such is the way with Arsene Wenger’s sides of late.

One can only imagine what Sanchez could achieve in a squad that was thriving and pushing to win major honours and Arsenal supporters will hope they get to see just such a sight before the exciting attacker is the latest to leave for pastures new.
