How we thing the Red Devils fared against the Tigers.

United showed that they can still turn on the style when they want to, and there was no stopping them once they got going. Some stood out more than others, but this was a strong team performance that saw everybody pull their socks up and bring their A game to the table.

Didn’t have much to do, but what he did he did well.

Had a tough afternoon dealing with Robertson and Ben Arfa, but did well.

Kept things together at the back whilst chipping in with a goal to open the scoring.

CB: Marcos Rojo – 7

Did well on his return, stood up well to the physicality of Jelavic.

Broke forward well, but is quite clearly not cut out to play defensively.

CM: Marouane Fellaini – 7

Played well, perhaps should have scored, but a welcome return to form for the Belgian.

CM: Michael Carrick – 7

Broke up Hull’s flow in the middle and used the ball well when he had it.

LW: Angel Di Maria – N/A

Injured and taken off after just ten minutes, United fans will keep a worried look out for news on his fitness.

RW: Juan Mata – 6

A little quiet. The Spaniard is not keen on operating in wide positions.

AM: Wayne Rooney – 9

A great goal and a great performance from the captain.

ST: Robin Van Persie – 9

A vintage goal of his own and an assist to boot.

Ander Herrera – 8/10 Made sure Di Maria’s presence wasn’t missed and provided an assist for Van Persie.
Radamel Falcao – 6/10 Still struggling to really get a foothold in games.
Darren Fletcher – 6/10 Had little time to impress, but settled in well late on.
