The young Argentine, who has previously been tipped to become better than big names such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has been in fine form in Serie A this season and is attracting plenty of interest from top clubs.

The 21-year-old already has six goals and two assists to his name in the Italian top flight, and looks a player who could add some quality to Arsene Wenger’s side’s attacking options.

Although Arsenal signed the likes of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez this summer, they are still short of numbers up top as the likes of Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott have spent much time out injured.

Manchester United have also been touted as potential contenders to win the race for Dybala’s signature, but it now seems that Arsenal have moved ahead of their rivals in the running.

However, the Gunners will have to wait until next summer to bring the classy youngster to the Emirates Stadium, as he sees out the campaign with Palermo.
