See below for eleven possible exits from the Premier League this January, including stars at Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea:

11) Lukas Podolski (Arsenal)

Linked with the likes of Inter Milan after struggling to get games at Arsenal this season, Lukas Podolski seems likely to be departing the Emirates Stadium at the next possible opportunity as he seeks to cement his place in the German national team by playing regular first-team football, which doesn’t look like happening with the Gunners at the moment.

10) Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

In a surprise move, another potential player leaving the Premier League, also for a move to Inter Milan, is Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who is nearing the end of his contract at Anfield and not guaranteed a starting place in Brendan Rodgers’ side any longer.

9) Mohamed Salah (Chelsea)

Having failed to get regular games at Chelsea since his move from FC Basel in last January’s transfer window, Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is being linked with a move away from the club just a year later.

8) Fabio Borini (Liverpool)

Yet another player wanted by Inter Milan in their January raid on the Premier League, Liverpool misfit Fabio Borini seems a player likely to be heading out of his current club and possibly moving abroad after struggling to establish himself in the English top flight down the years.

7) Juan Mata (Manchester United)

Most recently linked with Sevilla, it has been speculated that Manchester United could be ready to let Juan Mata go this January as Louis van Gaal looks to continue his reshuffle of the squad at Old Trafford. Other La Liga clubs have also been linked with the former Chelsea man.

6) Ander Herrera (Manchester United)

Despite only joining Manchester United this summer, Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera is another first-teamer at Old Trafford who could be axed this winter as Bayern Munich reportedly show an interest in snapping him up.

5) Roberto Soldado (Tottenham Hotspur)

Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has had a torrid time at White Hart Lane since his move from Valencia last summer, and it is no surprise to see him being linked with a January exit. The Spaniard could be offered to Porto as Tottenham try a swap deal to sign exciting Colombian striker Jackson Martinez.

4) Andre Schurrle (Chelsea)

Not a regular at Chelsea this season, Andre Schurrle has been linked with a January exit from Stamford Bridge as he looks to ensure he is playing regularly, and it may be that a return to the Bundesliga is in store for the former Bayer Leverkusen wide-man, with Schalke supposedly interested.

3) Mario Balotelli (Liverpool)

One of the worst signings of the whole summer, Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli could be set for a very quick exit from the Premier League as Napoli come calling for him this winter. The £16m man hasn’t yet scored a league goal, and it is no surprise that the Reds may be looking to offload him.

2) Petr Cech (Chelsea)

Despite links to some Premier League rivals, it seems most likely that out-of-favour Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will make the move abroad this January, with Italian side AS Roma strongly linked with him in most recent reports.

1) Robin van Persie (Manchester United)

A player who possibly looks past his best for Manchester United, Robin van Persie is another big-name Premier League player possibly on his way out of England this season, and is also the latest in a long line of rumoured targets for former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan.
