GK: Thibaut Courtois

Not a lot Thibaut Courtois could do for either goal, but not the best performance from the Belgian either. 6/10.

DR: Branislav Ivanovic

Not his usual best, Branislav Ivanovic was beaten on his side for the opening goal and didn’t make his usual impact going forward. 5/10.

DL: Cesar Azpilicueta

One of Chelsea’s more solid defenders, but still not enough from the Spaniard to prevent defeat. 6/10.

Chelsea transfer news

DC: John Terry

Caught ball watching on the first goal, John Terry should have done better and couldn’t do a lot to prevent the second either. 5/10.

DC: Gary Cahill

Letting the ball slip between his legs to fall to Papiss Cisse, Gary Cahill will also be disappointed with his performance today. 5/10.

MC: John Obi Mikel

An inferior option to the suspended Nemana Matic, John Obi Mikel didn’t give Chelsea their usual fluency in midfield as they struggled to dominate. 5/10.

MC: Cesc Fabregas

Not at his best without Matic alongside him, but Cesc Fabregas still showed some nice touches and set up Didier Drogba for the consolation late on. 6/10.

AMR: Willian

Subbed off after an ineffective game, Willian didn’t produce a great deal for the Blues today in his attacking midfield role. 5.5/10.

AML: Eden Hazard

Lively and tried to make things happen, even if it didn’t quite work out for Belgian winger Eden Hazard today. 6/10.

AMC: Oscar

Another player far from his best form, Oscar didn’t complete the 90 minutes after struggling to get into the game or provide any spark for the visitors. 5.5/10.

FC: Diego Costa

Somewhat isolated upfront, Diego Costa dropped deeper than usual to try to get into the game, but it just wasn’t his day for Chelsea this afternoon. 5.5/10.
