10) Mariyan Ognyanov, for Levski Sofia, 18 years and 60 days

The then youngster scored a last minute consolation goal for Levski Sofia in a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea in 2006. He is now still playing in the Bulgarian premier league, but with Botev Plovdiv.

8) Karim Benzema, for Lyon, 17 years and 353 days

The Frenchman has since moved on to become a key part of Real Madrid’s record breaking current side. However, he put this in the net for his original club Lyon in a 2-1 win over Rosenborg in 2005.

7) Aaron Ramsey, for Arsenal, 17 years and 301 days

The Welshman started well at the North London club, and grabbed this goal in a 5-2 win over Fenerbahce in 2008. Sadly he would suffer from a broken leg not too long after, but he seems to have got over that now and has become a regular under manager Arsene Wenger.

6) Breel Embolo, for FC Basel, 17 years and 263 days

Scored just at the beginning of November this year, the teenager bagged it against Ludogorets Razgrad in a 4-0 win. Unbelievably he apparently had to go to school the day after! He hasn’t really had time to prove himself since.

5) Martin Klein, for Sparta Prague, 17 years and 241 days

A late goal to briefly put his team back in a the game during a 2-1 loss to Panathinaikos in 2002, Klein hasn’t really built on it. He can now be found at FC Kaisar in the Kazakhstani Premier League, his career not going as well as he might have once hoped.

=3) Bojan Krkic, for Barcelona, 17 years and 218 days

The Spaniard started off as a prolific scorer for the Catalan club, and this goal in a 1-0 win over Schalke in 2008 was one of many that gave great hope to his supporters. He has since had spells at AC Milan, Ajax, and Roma, but seems to have found some form again at new club Stoke City.

=3) Cesc Fabregas, for Arsenal, 17 years and 218 days

Another Spaniard, and another who showed great talent from an early age. However, the midfielder has built on his early promise and is currently key for Chelsea after spells with the Gunners and Barcelona. This strike was against Rosenborg in a 5-1 victory in 2004.

2) Mateo Kovacic, for Dinamo Zagreb, 17 years and 215 days

The Croatian is now at Inter Milan, and has been rumoured to be on the move to the Premier League with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool apparently among those interested. This first sign of his talent came in a 7-1 battering of his team by Lyon in 2011.

1) Peter Ofori-Quaye, for Olympiakos, 17 years and 195 days

Back in 1997 the Ghanaian put on in for the Greek side in a 5-1 thrashing by Rosenborg. He hasn’t shone since, and hasn’t even had a club since 2012. He had stints across the mediterranean and his home country before then.
