The Gunners have strayed to a more ambitious transfer policy in recent times after years of bringing through youngsters, spending big money on the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck in the last two summers.

3) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)
Supposedly now up for sale by Borussia Dortmund as they eye the signing of AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy as his replacement, Marco Reus is being linked again with a big move to Arsenal, though the Gunners could also face competition from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United for the classy German international’s signature.
Reports elsewhere also suggest that Arsenal are targeting the big-money signing of Juventus youngster Paul Pogba, who is widely regarded as perhaps the best up-and-coming talent in the world. Chelsea and Manchester City are also tracking the Frenchman, who is valued at around £40m.

Arsenal are also linked with the highly exciting signing of Real Madrid’s world class striker Karim Benzema, who is possibly set to be sold by the Spanish giants despite his fine form this season. Again, the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are also chasing the attacker and could provide strong competition for his signature.
