Liverpool players feature heavily in this list, with a number of their stars currently in uncertain situations over their futures, while an Arsenal midfielder and promising Premier League youngster also seem to be attracting some interest from overseas.

2) Theo Walcott (Arsenal)

With his season plagued by injuries again this year, Theo Walcott has been linked with an exit from Arsenal to gain fitness, and Fiorentina have emerged as surprise contenders to sign the England winger on loan for the second half of the campaign.

3) Glen Johnson (Liverpool)

A move that looks more and more likely to happen before long, Liverpool could lose their England international right-back Glen Johnson to AS Roma on a free next season, with a pre-contract likely to be agreed in January. After a long spell at Anfield, the former Chelsea defender could link up with his former international colleague Ashley Cole at the Stadio Olimpico.

4) Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

A target for former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, Steven Gerrard could be another Liverpool player on his way out for a move abroad this January as Inter Milan come calling for the 34-year-old, who recently retired from England duty after serving as captain for the last few years.

5) Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion)

Another player linked with Inter Milan this January is West Bromwich Albion’s highly-rated young striker Saido Berahino, who only recently earned his first call up to the senior England international squad. The 21-year-old looks to have a bright future and is attracting plenty of interest, which may lead to a surprise move to Italy.
