GK) Hugo Lloris – Tottenham

Superb performance from Tottenham’s captain. He made countless saves to keep Manchester United out – especially from Robin van Persie – which resulted in a 0-0 draw with Louis van Gaal’s in-form outfit.

DR) Mathieu Debuchy – Arsenal

Energetic up the right flank for the Gunners. He was mainly solid defensively, and offered a consistent attacking threat, too.

DC) Wes Morgan – Leicester

Really good performance from the Tigers captain, who’s struggled at times this season. He won everything aerially, earning his side an absolutely crucial 1-0 away win at Hull.

DC) Ron Vlaar – Aston Villa

Villa’s captain didn’t put a foot wrong in the boring 0-0 stalemate with Sunderland. He’ll be available on a Bosman in the summer, and will possibly be snapped up in January.

DL) Erik Pieters – Stoke City

The Dutchman provided one of Stoke’s goals, and didn’t let Stephane Sessegnon get any luck whatsoever on the Baggies’ right wing.

MC) Victor Wanyama – Southampton

The Kenyan battled admirably with the monstrous Nemanja Matic, and made countless tackles and interceptions in the centre of the park. One of the better combative midfielders in the top flight.

MC) Steven N’Zonzi – Stoke City

N’Zonzi’s physicality and presence was very impressive. He passed the ball simply, but his defensive work created a solid platform for the rest of his side.

AMR) Ayoze Perez – Newcastle

The young Spaniard bagged again for the Magpies, who recorded an important victory over rivals Everton at St James’ Park. Perez was not afraid to try intricate passes or attempt mazy dribbles, too.

AMC) Santi Cazorla – Arsenal

Cazorla was mesmeric for Arsenal today. He notched his penalty, and pulled the strings for the Gunners in the final third. At this rate, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey will struggle to get back into the side.

AML) George Boyd – Burnley

Boyd scored for Burnley, who against all the odds – battled back from 2-0 down away to Manchester City at the Etihad. His defensive work was also superb as the champions tried for a later winner, to no avail.

FC) Mame Diouf – Stoke City

The Senegalese striker bagged twice in the second-half to earn Stoke a 2-0 home victory against West Brom.
