Liverpool transfer news

The Reds have not had the best start to the season and need strengthening this winter to get their campaign back on track, with Brendan Rodgers being given more money to spend despite some poor additions during the summer.

The likes of Mario Balotelli and Dejan Lovren have looked like desperately bad signings by Rodgers, but he will now hope to rectify his squad’s weaknesses by bringing in these three Premier League stars…

1) Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion)

A £23.5m signing that looks like edging closer to completion, according to the Metro, Liverpool could solve their problems upfront by bringing in highly-rated young striker Saido Berahino from West Bromwich Albion. The England international has been in top form this season and could provide more of a goal threat for Rodgers’ side.

2) Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa)

Liverpool could also make a raid on Premier League rivals Aston Villa and move for rock-solid Dutch defender Ron Vlaar, according to the Daily Mirror. The experienced centre-back has also been targeted by Arsenal but would be an important addition at Anfield.

3) Fabian Delph (Aston Villa)

In addition to Vlaar, the Daily Mirror also states that Liverpool are chasing Villa’s in-form England midfielder Fabian Delph, who could be a great replacement for the ageing Steven Gerrard as he struggles to find his best form for the Reds this season.
