Omar Abdulrahman, Al Ain

Linked with: Liverpool, Manchester City.

Impressed at the 2012 Olympics with UAE this gifted playmaker could finally make the high profile move to England that has looked on the cards for the past two-and-a-half years.

Saido Berahino, West Bromwich Albion

Linked with: Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur.

Has caught a few eyes – including England manager Roy Hodgson’s – this season for his impressive displays for the Baggies and could solve the striking problems at Anfield and White Hart Lane.

Joel Campbell, Arsenal

Linked with: Stoke City, Swansea City.

Despite being promised game time by Arsene Wenger this 2014 World Cup star for Costa Rica looks set for a loan move after falling down the pecking order.

Petr Cech, Chelsea

Linked with: Arsenal, Liverpool.

Since losing his No.1 spot at Stamford Bridge to Thibaut Courtois the future of this goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge remains in doubt – even if Jose Mourinho wants to keep him.

Alessio Cerci, Atletico Madrid

Linked with: Arsenal.

Only joined Atleti in the summer, but has failed to establish himself at the Vicente Calderon Stadium and the North Londoners will face competition from Inter Milan if they want to sign the Italy international.

Kris Commons, Celtic

Linked with: Crystal Palace, Leicester City.

Scored 32 goals last year and was named PFA Scotland Player of the Year, but with his current contract expiring in the summer could well be on the move.

Jermain Defoe, Toronto FC

Linked with: QPR.

This striker is an old favourite of Hoops manager Harry Redknapp and having failed to truly settle in Canada the 32-year-old could well be tempted by a reunion with him in West London.

Nicolas Gaitan, Benfica

Linked with: Manchester United.

Has really grown as a player since arriving in Lisbon back in 2010 and United have extensively scouted the 26-year-old, whilst AS Monaco are also interested.

Will Hughes, Derby County

Linked with: Liverpool.

Regarded as one of the most promising English players in the game this 19-year-old has been strongly linked with the Reds for some time.

Robbie Keane, LA Galaxy

Linked with: QPR.

A well known figure in English football this veteran forward could be tempted by a return with a switch to Loftus Road after winning three MLS Cups during his time in the USA.

Sami Khedira, Real Madrid

Linked with: Chelsea, Manchester United.

Rumours of where this 2014 World Cup winner will go next have been rumbling on for some time, with his current deal at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu expiring at the end of the season.

Aymeric Laporte, Athletic Bilbao

Linked with: Manchester United.

With Louis van Gaal looking for defensive recruitment this young centre-back could be the ideal signing for the Red Devils due to the talent he has shown at such a young age.

Pedro Leon, Getafe

Linked with: West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United.

The former Madrid man could well be leaving Getafe due to legal problems concerning his wages and West Brom and West Ham are preparing to scrap for his signature.

Lewis MacLeod, Rangers

Linked with: Burnley, Everton.

Earned a call-up to Gordan Strachan’s senior Scotland squad for his fine performances and Rangers could be convinced to sell due to their poor financial situation.

Niklas Moisander, Ajax

Linked with: Tottenham Hotspur.

Current captain of the reigning Eredivisie champions this centre-back’s deal is up next summer and Spurs will compete with Napoli for the 29-year-old’s signature.

Martin Montoya, FC Barcelona

Linked with: Liverpool.

With summer signing Douglas and Dani Alves ahead of him for a place at right-back, Montoya is ready to leave the Nou Camp with Juventus also interested in signing the 23-year-old.

Alex Mowatt, Leeds United

Linked with: Aston Villa, Everton.

Another highly regarded youngster who broke into the Leeds first team last term and has been impressing ever since.

Lee Nguyen, New England Revolution

Linked with: Southampton.

Previously played in Europe with Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven this midfielder could be tempted back after an impressive spell in MLS.

Enzo Perez, Benfica

Linked with: Manchester United.

Despite the fact the Red Devils want to add the midfielder to their own ranks, a move to Valencia for the South American is looking more likely currently.

Xherdan Shaqiri, Bayern Munich

Linked with: Liverpool.

The Merseysiders have been keeping tabs on this Switzerland international ever since it became clear he was unhappy at the Allianz Arena, but Napoli will compete with them to sign the attacking midfielder.

Wesley Sneijder, Galatasaray

Linked with: Manchester City, Manchester United.

For the second time in his career Sneijder is having wage issues with his club and the chances of the Netherlands international leaving Istanbul grow greater every day.

Junior Sornoza, Independiente del Valle

Linked with: Burnley.

Heavily linked with a move to England – with Championship side Derby also interested – the fact Sornoza only has four international caps could be a problem in terms of obtaining a work permit.

Matthew Spiranovic, West Sydney Wanderers

Linked with: Liverpool.

A centre-back who is also comfortable on the ball, this 26-year-old has been a target for Brendan Rodgers ever since his days at Swansea City and would probably be tempted by a switch to Merseyside.

Kevin Strootman, AS Roma

Linked with: Manchester United.

Has a close link with van Gaal from their time working together with the Netherlands national team and could also exit the Stadio Olimpico after being booed by his own fans in recent times.

Ron Vlaar, Aston Villa

Linked with: Arsenal, Manchester United.

The Villa captain is out of contract at the end of the season and looks ready to move on, with the Gunners and Man United interested as the 29-year-old is available at a cut-price fee.
