Kane has been the star player for Tottenham this season and his form has seen him touted as a potential England star of the future.

However, the 21-year-old’s career could have panned out so differently had the Gunners not decided to let the forward go when he was on their books as a youngster.

The Daily Mail has revealed that Kane was scouted by the team from the red half of North London aged eight when he was playing for Ridgeway Rovers – the same youth team of David Beckham and Andros Townsend.

The youngster spent 18 months at Highbury before being released and returning to his old side. Kane proceeded to Watford where he spent two months before being snatched up as an 11 year old by Spurs.

The forward was the star in Tottenham’s 5-3 win over Chelsea, scoring two goals during Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s impressive victory, an almost complete opposite from Arsenal’s dismal 2-0 defeat by Southampton.
