Mario Balotelli – 2/10

Was always going to be a gamble to buy him from AC Milan and is clearly one that hasn’t paid off.

Jose Enrique: 2/10

Literally nothing good to say about Enrique except it was good to see he is actually live and well in his cameo appearances this season.

Brad Jones: 3/10

Done as well a keeper of his ability can be expected to do at the top level. Terribly, basically.

Fabio Borini: 3/10

His reckless and stupid red card against Arsenal summed up what a bad season it’s been for the Italian.

Simon Mignolet: 3/10

Mistake after mistake this season led him to dropped with a summer exit most likely planned.

Glen Johnson 4/10

Another poor season for the right back who too will likely leave Anfield at the end of the season.

Dejan Lovren: 4/10

Almost the complete disaster since his big money move from Southampton.

Javier Manquillo: 4/10

It appeared Rodgers had found a gem during his first few appearances for the Reds but has slowly regressed and will surely be back on the plane to Spain at the end of the season.

Kolo Toure: 5/10

Toure is clearly not the player he was and is prone to the odd mistake but rolled back the years at the Bernabeu earlier in the season.

Rickie Lambert: 5/10

His lack of consistent run in the team has hampered his ability to make an impact when he comes on from the bench.

Jon Flanagan – 5/10

Missed the entire season so far injured but could be back in the second half to fight for his place.

Joe Allen: 5/10

Seems to slow everything down in the centre when he gets the ball and hinders the side’s attacking play having got no assists or goals as yet this season.

Emre Can: 6/10

Looked lost during his early appearances but now is working his way into first XI contention.

Lazar Markovic – 6/10

Slow start but finally seems to be finding the form to show why Liverpool splashed out £20 million.

Alberto Moreno: 6/10

Started the season with so much promise but his penchant to switch off has led to some question marks over temperament.

Daniel Sturridge: 6/10

Liverpool would surely not be in the position they are now if the Englishman were fit, looked red hot at the start of the season but has been out injured for all but three games.

Adam Lallana: 6/10

Another who didn’t really live up to his billing after a summer move but is slowly rebuilding his confidence.

Lucas: 7/10

Nothing spectacular as always from Lucas but does the basics well in Liverpool’s midfield when called upon.

Mamadou Sakho:  6/10

Injuries have largely curtailed Sakho’s campaign, but he’s done well since winning a place back in the side.

Steven Gerrard: 7/10

Clearly not the player he was or showing the kind of form of last year but still the beating heart of the side. This final six months will be his Liverpool swan-song.

Philippe Coutinho: 7/10

Slowly growing his way into the season and replicating the scintillating form of last season’s title charge. Talent wise, he’s as good as it gets at Liverpool.

Jordan Henderson: 7/10

Finally looks to have come of age in the Liverpool midfield after a couple of seasons of hit and miss performances. Has been used in a multitude of positions this campaign.

Martin Skrtel: 7/10

Put some assured displays in the centre and looks to have taken over the mantle of leader at the back from the outgoing Daniel Agger – but still is capable of the off defensive mishap.

Raheem Sterling: 8/10

Liverpool’s shining light and the main positive of the campaign. They desperately need him to extend his contract.
