Karim Benzema (Real Madrid): Price £50m
Chances of January Transfer: 1/10

Whilst Liverpool would dearly love to sign the Bernabeu star one has to seriously question why the former Lyon man would even think about such a move.

Benzema is a regular in a Real Madrid side that has won 22 games on the trot, are top of La Liga and are reigning Champions League title holders….

Fabian Delph (Aston Villa): Price £15m (combined valuation with Vlaar)
Chances of January Transfer: 4/10

With Steven Gerrard having confirmed his intention to leave Anfield in the summer there is certainly scope for a central midfield addition. The Villa Park man may well leave in January though Paul Lambert may be ready to keep hold of the player until the summer. Perhaps not an ideal replacement for the Liverpool legend.

Petr Cech (Chelsea): Price £7m
Chances of January Transfer: 5/10

Simon Mignolet looks dodgy, Brad Jones simply doesn’t look good enough. Petr Cech’s Chelsea days appear numbered and he’s far too good a player to be left warming the bench but a move abroad seems more likely for the Czech Republic international.

Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa): Price £15m (combined valuation with Delph)
Chances of January Transfer: 6/10

The Dutch international is in the same contract conundrum as team-mate Delph and he could represent a cost effective defensive option for Brendan Rodgers, one that seems very relevant given just how shoddy £20m signing Dejan Lovren has been thus far.

Saido Berahino (West Brom): Pric £23.5m
Chances of January Transfer: 7/10

By all accounts the England Under 21 international may well be sold by the Baggies as they look to use funds from his sale to bring in new additions and Brendan Rodgers is known for trusting to youth. It may represent a bit of a risk to invest such a sum in a young forward but it is perhaps the most likely of these targets to make the move to Merseyside in January.
