1. Arjen Robben – Bayern Munich to Manchester United (£24m)

Magazine’s reasoning: United tried to sign Robben last summer and, although they failed, Louis van Gaal has apparently told Red Devils chiefs to keep bidding for the speedy winger. Robben enjoyed working with Van Gaal for the Netherlands and therefore he could be convinced to link-up with the big man at Old Trafford.

2. Eden Hazard – Chelsea to Paris Saint-Germain (£70m)

Magazine’s reasoning: PSG have targeted Hazard and the mega-rich French champions won’t be put off one bit by the fact that the Belgian international spent December locked in contract talks at Stamford Bridge.

3. Mauro Icardi – Inter Milan to Chelsea (£19m)

Magazine’s reasoning: If Hazard departs, Chelsea will definitely need a replacement. Like Hazard, Icardi has a fine goal-scoring record. Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the Argentine.

4. Diafra Sakho – West Ham United to Liverpool (£13m)

Magazine’s reasoning: Sakho would be much cheaper than West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino and the Senegalese star would have just as good a chance of scoring the goals that Liverpool have been missing following the departure of Luis Suarez.

5. Andres Iniesta – Barcelona to Celtic (loan)

Magazine’s reasoning: If Iniesta gets board at Barca, he may well fancy a move to the champions of Scotland. The Spain legend speaks very highly of the atmosphere at Celtic Park.
