Arsenal are certainly in need of reinforcements as Arsene Wenger looks to construct a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title – here are four bosman signings that the Frenchman should consider:

Loris Karius (Mainz)

There is likely to be plenty of interest in young Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius, who has been likened to Manuel Neuer, when his contract at Bundesliga side Mainz expires in the summer. The former Manchester City youngster has come on leaps and bounds with regular first team action and could be the long term man that Arsenal need between the sticks.

Winston Reid (West Ham United)

Arsenal are certainly short on depth at the back – leading to the Gunners being heavily linked with a bargain move for West Ham United and New Zealand centre back Winston Reid. The Upton Park star is out of contract in the summer and a proven, consistent Premier League performer who would be a perfect capture for the Gunners.

Sami Khedira (Real Madrid)

Perhaps the most sought after of all the players whose contracts run down in 2015 is Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, with the World Cup winner yet to agree a deal to stay at the Bernabeu. The German international is the kind of dominant, box-to-box midfielder who Arsenal have lacked for some time and, if they can agree a wage packet with Khedira, he would be likely to prove the perfect buy.

Andre-Pierre Gignac (Marseille)

Despite the arrival of Danny Welbeck at the club in the summer, Arsenal appeared to lack presence upfront during Olivier Giroud’s long injury absence this season and the signing of Andre-Pierre Gignac, who has been in lethal form for Marseille in Ligue 1 so far this season, would certainly help to remedy that. The Frenchman is a similar player to Giroud and would offer Arsene Wenger an impressive rotation option.
