Danny Ings (Burnley to Tottenham Hotspur)

Young English striker Ings has taken to Premier League football well since Burnley’s surprise promotion last season but, with his contract due to expire in the summer, there has been speculation that the Clarets are set to cash in on their star asset during January. Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with an £8m move.

Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton to Manchester United)

England right back Nathaniel Clyne has been one of the most impressive performers in Southampton’s rise to the top four places in the Premier League this season, but he is stalling on a new contract at St. Mary’s, which could allow Manchester United into the picture.

Ross Barkley (Everton to Chelsea)

Despite his team’s trials and tribulations so far this season, young Everton midfielder Ross Barkley remains one of the Premier League’s most prized young assets, with Chelsea linked with a huge £50m move to the England international next summer. Considering the Toffees’ struggles under Roberto Martinez, however, could they be tempted to accelerate their interest?

James Milner (Manchester City to Liverpool)

With Steven Gerrard having announced his intention to leave Liverpool in the summer, the Reds are on the lookout for a replacement central midfielder and seem to have their eyes on Manchester City and England star James Milner. The former Aston Villa man is out of contract in the summer, meaning that Liverpool could secure Milner for a bargain price.

Winston Reid (West Ham United to Arsenal)

Another player out of contract at the end of the season is West Ham United central defender Winston Reid, with the New Zealand international having proven himself as a solid and consistent Premier League performer over the last couple of seasons. The Gunners have been linked with a January move for the player.

Aaron Lennon (Tottenham Hotspur to Stoke City)

Tottenham’s longest serving player Aaron Lennon looks set to leave White Hart Lane in January after falling out of favour with new Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, with Stoke City believed to be leading the chase for the winger.

Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa to Manchester United)

Yet another player who has courted speculation through his failure to extend his contract is Aston Villa captain and central defender Ron Vlaar – Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is believed to be considering making him a stop gap solution to his issues at the back, but injury could put paid to the deal.

Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion to Liverpool)

England Under 21 striker Saido Berahino has been one of the brightest lights for West Brom so far in their season of struggle, but his behaviour off the field has led the Baggies into a quandary when it comes to the centre forward. With Liverpool interested, new manager Tony Pulis could look to sell Berahino in a bid to finance his survival bid.

Wilfried Bony (Swansea City to Manchester City)

Manchester City are believed to be closing in on a deal to sign Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony, the leading Premier League goalscorer in the calendar year of 2014, but the Swans are holding out for a huge fee of £30m if they are to part with their best player.

Fabian Delph (Aston Villa to Liverpool)

Another potential option for Liverpool when it comes to replacing Steven Gerrard is Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph, with the England international also out of contract in the West Midlands at the end of the season.
