Over the past 10 years, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal have become famous for their slick passing football.

So, it is somewhat surprising that more than 22% of the Gunners’ Premier League goals this season have come from headers.

Laurent Koscielny’s opener in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Stoke City was Arsenal’s eighth headed league goal this campaign.

The Potters, who have long been – harshly – branded as a team that relies largely on the tallness of their players, have only scored five goals from headers.
