Man United Starlet Adnan Januzaj Tells Louis Van Gaal He Wants To Leave

But only on loan.

Young Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has apparently told manager Louis Van Gaal that he wants to leave the club on loan during the January window after struggling to re-establish himself at Old Trafford this season, the Daily Mail reports.

Only last season, Januzaj was being watched by a number of top clubs across Europe as well as by the England national team after breaking through under David Moyes.

However, this time around he has made just two starts for Van Gaal in the Premier League despite the heavy injury problems the club has suffered all season.

Van Gaal has hinted that the young forward doesn’t feature in his short term plans as he feels he is unsuited to a wing-back role, while he has fallen behind the pecking order behind the likes of Wayne Rooney, Angel Di Maria and Juan Mata in the number 10 role.

Januzaj was given a fleeting 25 minute cameo in the New Year’s Day clash with Stoke, and a single, solitary minute at the end of United’s win against the same opposition at Old Trafford a month earlier.

He will now seek a short term exit from Old Trafford in order to re-establish himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents and continue his progress.
