Manchester City completed the £28m signing of Wilfried Bony from Swansea City today, and here’s a recap of some of the other biggest deals so far this month…

Yesterday afternoon Manchester City completed the signing of Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony in a deal that could be worth up to £28m. According to BBC Sport, Bony has agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal at Etihad Stadium through to 2019 and will wear the number 14 shirt.

The deal to sign Bony is the latest in a long line of signings and sales made by Premier League team so far this month. Below, we’ve ranked the ten most important switches that of occurred already in 2015:

10) Eljero Elia (Werder Bremen to Southampton, Loan)

The Dutch winger failed to settle in Germany and will hope to boost Southampton’s top four hopes this season.

The young Arsenal striker will be looking for game time away from the Emirates Stadium, and will hope to keep Palace up.

5) Jermain Defoe (FC Toronto to Sunderland, £14m)

This deal is still pending, but looks to be all but done with terms agreed and a medical having been completed. Can he save the Black Cats season?

4) Xherdan Shaqiri (Bayern Munich to Inter Milan, Undisclosed)

The long-term Liverpool target decided he’d rather join Inter, finally escaping from his frustrating place on the bench in Munich.

3) Victor Valdes (Unattached to Manchester United, Free)

The Spanish goalkeeper and long-time Barcelona number one has returned form a long-term injury to join United, and provide competition for David de Gea.

2) Steven Gerrard (Liverpool to LA Galaxy, Free)

This deal won’t go through until the summer, but it has been completed. The Liverpool captain will leave his boyhood club, and follow in David Beckham’s footsteps by moving to LA.
