Chelsea have been linked with an exciting double raid on Jose Mourinho’s old club Real Madrid for two of their best players, according to recent reports.

The Blues are targeting more big names after a superb summer in the transfer market that saw them bring in the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa to enhance their chances of winning the Premier League title.
Chelsea have also brought in a number of the best players in the world during the Roman Abramovich era, and now look to be targeting two more signings that could prove superb additions to the current squad at Stamford Bridge.
It remains to be seen if the club will manage to bring in both players, but it seems Mourinho is eyeing a reunion with these two former players of his:
1) Raphael Varane
One of the most promising young defenders in the world, Raphael Varane made his Real Madrid debut under Mourinho during his time in charge at the Bernabeu and has been continually linked with a move to Chelsea to team up with the Portuguese coach again ever since.

2) Luka Modric
Linked with Chelsea in the past, Luka Modric is now believed to be on their radar again as the Croatian playmaker’s girlfriend is supposedly unhappy with life in Spain and looking for a move. Although Fabregas already plays a similar role to Modric in Chelsea’s midfield, there’s no doubt the former Tottenham Hotspur man could add even more quality to the team in that part of the pitch.
