The Gunners boss is ready to test Barca’s desire to keep hold of their forward, with the Uruguay international failing to make a significant impact since signing and struggling to settle down with the Spanish giants.

Suarez was the Premier League’s top-scorer in the 2013/14 season with 31 goals, and having already shown his ability in English football, would be ready to light up the Premier League once more.

Wenger is an admirer of the controversial striker having previously put an offer in for the 28-year-old when he infamously bid £40m and £1 in 2013 and he also tried to sign him again last year.

However, Barcelona may be more willing than Liverpool to sell to the North London side, but will certainly look to recoup the £75m they paid for the forward.
