Paul Black is deemed a big coup for the US second divison side – he has played for both the England U-19s and U-20s and brings experience of playing 132 competitive games in England’s lower leagues.

German-born Mensing is a goal scoring centre back who has found the back of the net on more than 40 occasions. The 32 year old lifted the Scottish First Division title with Hamilton and had seen game time in the top flight

“Paul is the modern day full back,” Atlanta manager Gary Smith said to nasl.com. “He has great energy up and down the left flank, with a wonderful left foot that gives good balance to any team and defensive qualities forged through tough encounters in Football Leagues 1 and 2″.

“At 24, Paul has a very bright future and I fully expect his ability to attract attention from the top teams in the U.S.”
