Here are five things that manager Arsene Wenger will have taken from the match…

5) Theo Walcott has hit the ground running

The winger has recently returned from his injury troubles and seems to have got right back in to his stride. The 25-year-old scored against Brighton last week, and added to that against the Villains. If the England international can continue this form then he will be a great asset going in to the final stages of the season.

4) The Gunners are in pole position for fourth

This win took the North London club to fifth in the Premier League, and as usual it looks like they will get their customary place in the Champions League qualification places. Finishing in third is also not out of the question if they continue to play like they did against the Midlands club.

3) Mathieu Debuchy may not be missed

The injury to regular right-back Debuchy had been thought to be a major blow for the Gunners, but if Hector Bellerin is able to replicate this performance then it won’t as bad as first thought. After looking great going forward here, he will now have to be tested defensively against a better opponent.

2) Mesut Ozil showed what he can do

There have been some calls for the German to be left out of the team in favour of Santi Cazorla, but both played in the same side on Sunday and they impressed. Cazorla has been playing brilliantly lately, but it is the return to form of the World Cup winner that will give Wenger the most hope. If the 26-year-old is back to his best then Arsenal are capable of beating anyone.

1) Arsenal are not a one man team

Alexis Sanchez missed the match with a hamstring injury, but even without their talismanic winger the North London club put in one of their best performances of the campaign. This move away from being a one man team will be great news for Gunners fans.
