Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho Eyes Five French Players, Including Ex-Man Utd Star

Blues manager linked with five big names from France.

Chelsea are looking into signing five stars from France in the summer transfer window, with a former Manchester United midfielder among them.

The Blues already have one of the best squads in Europe after a superb couple of transfer windows that saw them sign Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas in the summer, and Juan Cuadrado this January.

Still, Jose Mourinho has more big names on his radar, with reports claiming these Five Frenchmean are high priorities…

1) Paul Pogba (Juventus)

One of the finest young players in the world, former Manchester United reject Paul Pogba has been linked with Chelsea several times and would make a superb addition to their midfield this summer.

2) Raphael Varane (Real Madrid)

Another top youngster, Real Madrid Raphael Varane is wanted by Mourinho at centre-back, and the Frenchman would make an ideal long-term replacement for John Terry.

3) Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid)

Although Chelsea have plenty of options in attack, Atletico Madrid winger Antoine Griezmann is believed to be another top target for the Blues ahead of the summer.

4) Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon)

A striker in lethal form at the moment, Alexandre Lacazette has been linked with Chelsea after also attracting interest from Arsenal and Liverpool in recent times.

5) Allan Saint-Maximin (Saint-Etienne)

Still only 17 years old, Saint-Etienne winger Allan Saint-Maximin is another French talent on Mourinho’s radar and looks a player well worth snapping up for the future.
