The controversial Togo striker has the unusual feat of scoring for both teams.

Arsenal fans might want to look away now as hated Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor tops the list of scorers in the north London Derby beating the likes of Gunners legends Robert Pires and Thierry Henry.

Ahead of the much anticipated derby match at the weekend, we look at which Arsenal and Spurs scorers top the list of scorers in the Premier League era in the hotly contested bout for north London bragging rights.

Rafael van der Vaart – Goals: 4

The fiery Dutchman managed to score in his first North London Derby after going from Real Madrid in the summer of 2010. Equalising from the penalty spot in Spurs’ famous 3-2 comeback.

Theo Walcott – Goals: 4

Perhaps more known by the Spurs fans for his infamous “2-0” gesture, Walcott scored twice in Arsenal 5-2 demolition of their rivals three season ago.

Ian Wright – Goals: 4

The Arsenal legend was the bane of Spurs both before and after the inception of the Premier League and has since taken to mocking them to much hilarity on Twitter. You’ll probably find him posting some choice words this weekend.

Patrick Vieira – Goals: 4

Famously set up the goal that ensured Arsenal would win the title at White Hart Lane in Arsenal’s 2003/2004 Invincibles season.

Freddie Ljungberg – Goals: 4

He might have spent years as a fierce rival but Ljungberg’s reportedly married a Spurs fan in 2014.

Gareth Bale – Goals: 5

Bale’s goal against Arsenal in 2010 ensured Spurs would break an almost 11 year hoodoo against Arsene Wenger’s side by securing their first win in the league since 1999 over the Gunners.

Robin van Persie – Goals: 5

Might be one of Arsenal fan’s most hated players now but scored some key goals for Wenger’s men during his time in North London, notably scoring the second in as the Gunners came from 2-0 down to earn a 5-2 win.

Thierry Henry – Goals: 5

Scored numerous goals against the Lilywhites throughout his career but none more iconic than that which saw him sprint down the Highbury turf to slide on his knees infront of the away end.

It’s since been turned into one of Arsenal’s four statues outside the Emirates stadium.

Robert Pires – Goals: 7

The Frenchman took a dislike to Spurs seemingly from the moment he donned a Red shirt scoring in seven of his first eight appearances in all competitions.

Emmanuel Adebayor – Goals: 8

The majority of the striker’s goals have come whilst under Arsene Wenger’s wing at Arsenal, and he only ever lost once to Tottenham, a 5-1 league cup defeat.

On signing for the White Hart Lane side, Adebayor has since scored just two goals against Arsenal with his side losing 5-2 on both occasions whilst also being sent off once.
