Arsenal 2-0 Everton: Player Ratings As Gunners Move Up To Third With Santi Cazorla Once Again Superb

Arsenal were looking to offer a quick response after a disappointing performance in midweek.

Despite a nervy first half, the Gunners managed comfortably secure all three points at the Emirates against Everton.

A cool finish by Olivier Giroud from a corner set Arsenal on the way, before Tomas Rosicky came on to settle the game with a deflected effort.

Alongside Gabriel, Koscielny quickly becomes the leader of the back four and the role suited the Frenchman.

LB) Kieran Gibbs – 6

Struggled going forward to keep the attacks going but was sound defensively.

CDM) Francis Coquelin – 7

Went through the ward and left the pitch with a bloody nose, Coquelin was his usual tenacious self.

CM) Santi Cazorla – 8

Arsenal’s man of the match once again, the captain on the day delivered a wonderful display of leadership.

Yet to convince amid the criticism and his place in the team is legitimately under threat.

AML) Alexis Sanchez – 7

Showed the industrious side to his game and put in a shift down Arsenal’s left.

Provided the balance down Arsenal’s right which they were lacking in midweek.

Scored the all important second goal, but detractors will point to the two guilt edged chances the Frenchman failed to convert.
