Arsenal Plan Big Midfield Signing With Diaby, Arteta & Flamini Futures In Doubt

Gunners could make big-name signing to replace trio.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is seemingly ready to let go of the likes of Abou Diaby and Mathieu Flamini as he plans a move for a big-name midfielder this summer, according to the Sun.

Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, valued at around £20m, is seemingly the top target, with Mikel Arteta’s future also in doubt although Wenger would ideally like to keep the Spaniard.

Diaby has not managed to get over his injury problems and will not be offered a new contract, while Flamini has recently lost his place in the team to youngster Francis Coquelin.

Arsenal have been linked with a whole host of midfield signings, and a deal seems all the more likely now as Wenger gives up on the likes of Diaby and Flamini.
