Roma Line Up Unbelievable £15.6m Contract For Man City Star James Milner

He could be about to join fellow Englishman Ashley Cole in the Italian capital…

James Milner has been allowed to speak to foreign clubs since January, due to being in the last six months of his contract at Manchester City, and is the subject of a possible move to Italian giants Roma, according to the Star.

The news comes after Roma director Walter Sabatini’s stay in Manchester this week for talks to the England international as Roma try and entice him away from England with a £100,000 per week deal, after tax.

Milner’s potential huge deal at Roma would equate to an annual wage of £15.6 million, along with a £2.5 million signing on fee, although Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes the former Leeds and Aston Villa player would prefer to stay in the country having just had a child.

That said, if Milner does stay in the Premier League, it is possible that could be at Liverpool instead of the Etihad Stadium if they are willing to offer him a three year contract which he wants.
