The 19-year-old hasn’t registered a goal since the beginning of October, with his loan-spell not doing the youngster’s confidence any favours, but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers will be delighted to hear that his summer signing is back amongst the goals.

Rodgers was impressed by the stellar performances of the Belgium youngster in Ligue 1 last season, spending £10m to secure his signature, and immediately loaned him back to Lille.

The teenager’s worst moment this season came when he was booed off by the Great Danes’ supporters after failing to convert a penalty against Bundesliga’s Wolfsburg in the Europa League in December last year – but he will be hoping that the hat-trick can kick-start a late surge in impressive performances as the end of the season draws ever closer.
