The exciting young Argentine has been linked with a whole host of top European sides this season, with Arsenal and Manchester United his main admirers in England, and with fellow Italians Juventus also keen to snap him up.

“I already have a €40m offer in my hand, but if someone else gets into the race then we’ll see what happens,” Zamparini revealed.

“Were Manchester United behind this offer? I won’t tell you the name of the club, not even if you torture me!”
