Liverpool transfer target to have buy-out clause SLASHED this summer

Liverpool may have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio as his release clause could be slashed, according to O Jogo.

The Portuguese news source claims Salvio could sign a new contract with his current club, but that that could still lead to a likely move to Anfield in the summer for a reduced price.

The Argentine has previously been valued at around £43m, which would probably prove too steap for the Reds to consider paying for him, despite their interest.

A new winger could be a priority for Brendan Rodgers as Raheem Sterling stalls on signing a new contract with the Merseyside giants.
