Given the disappointing seasons of both Robin van Persie and the on-loan Radamel Falcao, United want to revamp their stuttering forward line with some fresh faces.

The Daily Express reports that both men could be on the way out of Old Trafford in the summer, with Falcao returning to AS Monaco and van Persie exiting after just three seasons at the club. The pair could be replaced by Ings and Firmino.

Firmino is available for just £14.5 million due to a release clause, which could be a bargain price for a striker who has scored six and assisted seven so far this season.

In Ings the Red Devils would be getting a Premier League ready striker who has struck nine times for the Clarets so far this season. The young English forward could come at an even cheaper price, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

These potential deals could come as a particularly severe blow to Liverpool, who are said to have been tracking both players.
