In-form Henderson has found the net in each of his last three Premier League games, including the winner against Swansea City on Monday night which moved the Reds to within a point of United.

A win for Liverpool on Sunday will seem them leapfrog their bitter rivals into fourth place and further strengthen the belief around the club that they will secure a spot in next season Champions League.

Ahead of the meeting at Anfield which will have massive top-four implications, the England international is in a buoyant mood:

“We can’t wait for Sunday. We’re high on confidence. United played well on Sunday. It will be a tough game, but we’re at Anfield, and we’re confident, so we hope we’ll get the result we need.” Henderson told Sky Sports (reported by the Daily Express).
