Arsenal transfer news

1) Diego Costa – 1

A late bloomer, Diego Costa only has seven caps for Spain and just the one goal so far. Despite a prolific season at Premier League level, the Brazilian-born forward cannot  hope to beat Bendtner for goals on the international stage.

2) Radamel Falcao -21

Not too far behind Lord Bendtner, but Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao just has 21 international strikes for Colombia – the Red Devils clearly signed the wrong player this summer!

3) Sergio Aguero – 22

Another Premier League star who just can’t match Bendnter on the international stage, Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero has a surprisingly low 22 goals for Argentina.

4) Olivier Giroud – 9

An Arsenal striker on fire at the moment, he’s still no match for his old team-mate, with just nine goals in his international career for France.

5) Robert Lewandowski – 23

Despite being one of the best in the world and having little in the way of competition for Poland, even Robert Lewandowski is only on 23 goals for his country.

6) Edinson Cavani – 24

Despite being valued at around £50m with links to Arsenal and Manchester United, Edinson Cavani is behind Bendtner on international goals, with just 24 for Uruguay.

7) Carlos Tevez – 13

One of the best strikers of the last decade or so, Carlos Tevez has not always been in favour for Argentina, and thus has a crazily low tally of just 13 international goals.

8) Gonzalo Higuain – 23

Linked many times with Arsenal, Liverpool and other top clubs, Gonzalo Higuain has only managed 23 goals for the Argentina national team.

9) Mario Balotelli – 13

Perhaps we shouldn’t be too surprised, but Mario Balotelli has only amassed 13 goals for Italy in all these years.

10) Romelu Lukaku – 8

Still only 21, but a player with a superb scoring record in his club career so far, Romelu Lukeku has managed just eight in total for the Belgian national team.
