1) Joel Campbell (Arsenal)
A player Arsenal loaned out for three consecutive seasons to get him a work permit, Joel Campbell has strangely not been given enough of a chance in the Gunners’ first-team despite often looking an impressive prospect. The Costa Rican shone at last summer’s World Cup and looked sharp in pre-season – could he enjoy a Harry Kane-like rise if just given a little more playing time?

A youngster who opened his Manchester City account in the Capital One Cup this season, 19-year-old Spaniard Jose Angel Pozo is highly thought of at the Etihad Stadium, and yet remains behind flops like Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic in the pecking order. Should Manuel Pellegrini follow Mauricio Pochettino’s example and throw him in ahead of under-performing senior stars?
3) James Wilson (Manchester United)
A player we’ve seen glimpses of for Manchester United, James Wilson is another young English prospect surely just waiting for a chance to show what he can do – with Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie not performing, maybe a chance isn’t too far away.
4) Nick Powell (Manchester United)
A player the same age as Kane and struggling in a similar way to his compatriot just a few months ago, Nick Powell has previously been considered an exciting prospect, but has not set the world alight in a number of loan spells. Still, does he just need a few games in the senior United side to find his feet?
5) Jerome Sinclair (Liverpool)
Still only 18, Jerome Sinclair looks an exciting prospect at Liverpool who could be a wildcard option upfront if the Reds decide not to stick with under-performers like Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert, while Daniel Sturridge remains unreliable due to his poor injury record.
6) Patrick Bamford (Chelsea)
A player shining on loan at Middlesbrough this season, does Patrick Bamford have any hope of emulating Kane at Chelsea? The 21-year-old looks a top talent and is surely good enough to at least be a squad player at Stamford Bridge.

A Brazilian talent loaned out far too many times, Lucas Piazon looks another Chelsea youngster who deserves more of a look-in. With Didier Drogba surely into his final season as a player, could next season be his year?

A young German forward who has always looked impressive when called upon for Arsenal, Serge Gnabry looks another top talent being held back through lack of appearances and a lack of trust from his manager.
9) Connor Wickham (Sunderland)
A long shot, but could Sunderland striker Connor Wickham stil fulfill his tremendous potential? The 21-year-old has had some good games for the club but remains something of an enigma, though surely there’s enough there to warrant more of a run in the side, especially considering his competition.
