Inter Milan line up Manchester City misfit on season long loan

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is planning a transfer raid on his former club, with a move for forgotten man Stevan Jovetic on a season long loan according to the Mirror.

The tabloid report that Mancini wants to bring the Montenegrin international on loan with a view to a permanent deal, following Jovetic’s exclusion from the Citizens’ Champions League squad for the latter stages.

The former Fiorentina man was understandably unhappy following the decision to leave him out, and criticised City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

“The manager has killed me with this decision,” Jovetic was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

“I feel I deserve my place and other people have told me the same.

“People have told me I am a great player, but it is clear that the manager doesn’t think the same way.”

As well as his injury troubles, Jovetic has constantly struggled to nail down a long term place in the first eleven, and those may well have been contributing factors to his .

The Mirror claim that Inter have made an approach for the striker and negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.

The sticking point in the deal is said to be the fact that the Italian side want the security of a loan deal, while Manchester City are looking to sell the player outright, with no danger of his return.
