The Spurs forward has scored a staggering 29 times this season, and it came as no surprise when Roy Hodgson named him in his squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier with Lithuania, and the friendly against Italy.

Following Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Antonio Conte’s men, he tweeted how proud he was to be handed his first start:

Kane’s performances have been so impressive this term that Newcastle head coach John Carver was quoted by the Daily Mail as comparing the forward to Premier League legend Alan Shearer, while Rodney Marsh told talkSPORT that he believes the 21-year-old is better than Manchester United’s Angel di Maria – and is worth £100m.
