GK: Fernando Pacheco

Not a particularly big name, Fernando Pachecho is at best third choice goalkeeper at Real Madrid at the moment.

DR: Daniel Carvajal

A superb young right-back who has been first choice since being re-signed by the club from Bayer Leverkusen last season.

DL: Diego Caballo

A little-known 21-year-old left-back, Diego Caballo has some stern competition for a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting linep.

DC: Raphael Varane

Regarded as one of the best young defenders in Europe, Raphael Varane has been unfortunate not to play more regularly for Real, but has been a first-teamer for the last few years.

DC: Nacho

Another decent young player as backup, Nacho looks a promising talent at the Bernabeu but faces a great deal of competition for a starting spot.

MC: Toni Kroos

A key player for Real Madrid after signing from Bayern Munich as a World Cup winner this summer, it’s fair to say Toni Kroos is a superb midfielder with his best years still ahead of him.

MC: Asier Illarramendi

Not a regular, but 25-year-old Asier Illarramendi is a very capable squad player for Madrid if needed.

AMR: Gareth Bale

The most expensive player of all time and a name we all know well, Gareth Bale is still only 25 and is another world class talent with his best years ahead of him.

AML: James Rodriguez

Another big-money signing last summer, 23-year-old James Rodriguez starred for Colombia at the World Cup and has become an important player at Real already.

AMC: Isco

Long regarded as one of the best young talents in Spain, Isco has become an increasingly influential figure in the Real team this season, and can become world class for many years to come.

FC: Jese

Not in the same calibre as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema, but Jese Rodriguez is another big talent and one with plenty of quality for such a young age.
