A great goalkeeping display from Everton’s Tim Howard, helping the Toffees to a crucial 1-0 victory and clean sheet over Southampton.

DR: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)

A fine display from the youngster, who got forward to score a lovely solo goal in the thumping win over Liverpool.

DL: Daley Blind (Manchester United)

A top class performance at left-back from the versatile Daley Blind, it was another good weekend for the promising Dutchman.

DC: Phil Jones (Manchester United)

A player improving all the time at the moment, Phil Jones was in solid form for Manchester United in their win over Aston Villa.

DC: Phil Jagielka (Everton)

Another Everton player who had a great game against Southampton, Phil Jagielka got the winning goal and defended resolutely to help Roberto Martinez’s side to three points.

MC: Francis Coquelin (Arsenal)

A player who continues to surprise, Francis Coquelin ran the midfield for Arsenal against Liverpool this weekend in another superbly accomplished display.

MC: Ander Herrera (Manchester United)

Two goals and a great all-round performance, Ander Herrera is really showing his worth to United as he inspired this 3-1 win at Old Trafford.


AMR: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

Arsenal’s player of the season was dazzling again this weekend as he fired a superb long-range shot to make it 3-0 at half time against Liverpool. What a player.

AML: Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

By far the best performer for Chelsea in an otherwise unconvincing display, Eden Hazard scored from the spot and kept the Blues’ title charge going.

AMC: Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

The kind of performance Arsenal fans have been waiting for, Mesut Ozil was outstanding against Liverpool, scoring a peach of a free-kick to make it 2-0.

FC: Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

A fine performance capped with a beautiful individual goal, Wayne Rooney was at his very best as United beat Villa 3-1 to extend their lead over Liverpool in the race for the top four.
