The 19-year-old, who has made something of a breakthrough in Brendan Rodgers’ first-team plans this season, looks an outstanding prospect for the future and is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal before long.

Ibe has made seven appearances for the Reds this term, whilst also impressing on loan at Championship side Derby Country in the first half of the season, scoring five goals in 20 games in English football’s second tier.

The Daily Mirror now reports that he will extend his stay with the Merseyside giants, whom he first joined from Wycombe Wanderers back in 2012 after catching the eye in the lower leagues.

Ibe has spent some time out injured recently, but Rodgers has revealed he is back in training and looking sharp as he nears a return to action.
